Promoting Health & Hygiene in the Resettlement areas in Collaboration with GREATER CHENNAI CORPORATION & TAMIL NADU URBAN HABITAT DEVELOPMENT BOARD
In collaboration with GREATER CHENNAI CORPORATION, OSF engaged in Community Intervention Program- COVID 19, Resettlement area -Semmenchery for 6 months and provided service to 1500+ community people. Daily door to door temperature monitored, distributed- Kabusura kudineer to boost their immunity, Cotton masks, Sanitizer etc., And also assisted COVID 19 infected to Primary health Care Centre for treatment. IEC (Information, Education & Communication) activities conducted through Art forms- Wall paintings, Street theatre and Puppetry.
WASH – A child-centred approach
The Our Shoulders Foundation embarked on a vital project under the guidance of the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board, focusing on improving children’s welfare in Ezhil Nagar, Okkiyam Thuraipakkam & Perumbakkam. We engaged with 500 families on enhancing the understanding and practice of effective hygiene habits. Taught handwashing techniques and emphasized the importance of WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) to 150 children through creative art forms like street theater, puppetry, and motivational speeches.
